Our clients are at the heart of our practice. While every case brings different challenges, all require the commercial judgement of experienced lawyers – able to help clients assess business as well as legal risks. Our commercial legal services help clients establish, run and develop their businesses, whether by setting up joint ventures, financing an asset or project, or coping with new legislation. A FLEXIBLE APPROACH TO CHARGING

Our fees are charged in accordance with the Ghana Bar Association scale of fees and having regard to all the circumstances of the client’s matter and in particular to: a)the complexity of the matter or the difficulty or novelty of the questions raised; b)the skill, labour, specialized knowledge and responsibility involved; c)time spent on the matter; d)the number and importance of the documents prepared or perused, without regard to length; e)the place where and the circumstances in which the business or any part thereof is transacted; f)the amount or value of any money or property involved; and g)the importance of the matter to the client. Where the nature of work allows, we can charge on a task basis or at an hourly or team rate. Where clients have particular requirements, such as frequency of billing, we are happy to discuss these. Prior to starting work, we can review the most likely tactical approach before agreeing on an overall strategy. At this stage cost parameters can be agreed and regularly reviewed as the case or transaction progresses.
